Two young boys venture off into the bosque for an adventure

FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

I want the audience to feel a feeling of excitement and a good feeling that the brothers are alright and Barbolio found his brother finally.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

I had an absolute blast filming when the dog chased us in the bosque. That was fun for me and Zayden

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

Opportunities like Film Prize Junior are important to students as they bring out our creativity and our stories that we create. Those stories should be shared with everyone and now with Film Prize Junior they could make those stories come to life in film and is a gateway to make even bigger films.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

A few obstacles that challenged us was when to film it as there were times actors couldn’t come because of events they had to go through and sometimes we had to go talk to many people about where we had to film as sometimes it was on private property. These hardships were not an obstacle as we learned how to accommodate for the actors and how we can film at better times. All these experiences made us learn how we need to talk to people so that they could help us produce the movie and I learned how we can write, edit, and produce a movie as a team.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

For future participants of Film Prize Junior, Creativity is the forefront of creating a film, even if people say it will be hard, you need to persevere and not to give up, even in the hardest times.
