I would like the audience to notice how authentic and natural kids play. They are learning advanced technology and how to be responsible for delicate equipment. They have each found a role in the production behind the camera and in the spotlight. Students were excited to insert their own ideas to make our film a success. They rearranged furniture, added props such as coffee to imitate television as they think it should look.

The acting presented by students were unrehearsed. They improvised on location, designed the mood using lighting, other props, and characters. They had an opportunity to play famous roles as seen in their favorite movies. My favorite part of the filming was to watch each kids enthusiasm in their role. They had courage and confidence to show character, talent and personality. They are learning not only how to work as a team, how to care for equipment, but also an employable life skill. It give kids another option for potential employment when they prepare to go to college.

We have the opportunity to express ourselves, be ourselves, learn at our own pace with the proper guidance and support. I want to feel important and make fun memories with my friends.

There were no obstacles, we had great support from teachers and mentors. They gave instructions and allowed each of us to hold equipment, use equipment, and support our curiosity. Film is fun, and I’d like to take a more active role in film production.
