FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

We want them to be entertained by our thriller movie!

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

We had an absolute blast filming the park scene, ending scene, and the scene where gab finds all of lucas’s items and uncovers what happened to lucas

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

Gives a student a chance to present and learn about interests they have, being able to film, and learn about film.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

The biggest obstacles that we faced when completing this film is having actors not showing up to film days or having to replace actors on the spot. These obstacles caused writers to have to rewrite scenes on the spot and having to change plans, Constantly.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

Some advice we would give to future participants is to stay motivated. We had some issues with winter hitting, so we couldn’t film outside much. But, we held tight and remained composed throughout the cold, improving dialogue, planning, and promotion in between. Being optimistic and hopeful for your film is an easy way to curate a film.
