Our short film is a drama full of symbolism about fighting societal conformity and pressure to find your own individuality and compassion for life and others.

All of them, but definitely the scenes where we could work with actors in small groups – it made everything feel much more personal and meaningful to us to work with, and get to know them well to make this project the best it could be.

It gives students the opportunity to get insight into the many different aspects and potential careers/hobbies in filmmaking, writing, and post production. Especially with access to professional resources, it helps students understand what else is out there creatively.

Definitely the small details. We even had to restart our film due to how many small details and shots we missed! We started really prioritizing shot lists and sketches in the final version of the music video – and it turned out so much better!

At the end of the day, it’s really not about winning an award, or seeing your film on the big screen, it’s about finding and perusing your interests, and learning how to work and meaningfully connect with people around you! Regardless of where you are the progress, keep your work ethic and always value your fellow cast and crew members.
