What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

The message we want the audience to take away is that beneath the surface, people are facing many challenges because of many reasons, including race.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

Each scene had its own challenges and fun. Certain scenes were fun to work with because of the amounts of extras we got to work with. Others were fun because of the camera movements we used. Some were fun because of the emotions we got to capture. Overall, filming was a blast.

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

Opportunities like Film Prize Junior are important to students like us because the allow use to continue making films and they provide opportunities for us to tell our stories and further our growing film careers.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

The biggest challenge was finding times to film outside of school, since a lot of us have other commitments as well. We learned how to make time, and make the things we want happen.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

Tell the story you want to tell, because then other people might catch on. People are drawn to passion.
