The audience should take away that the students would like to share that there are secrets in the world that are better to not know. However, they believe that the audience should know that it took a long time to film, it was a hard process and the students had to work with the materials available to them.

The students had an absolute blast filming the scene at the cabin. Students were able to breathe in the fresh air of Cloudcroft. This was the moment one of the students decided to break out of their shell and take a huge leap. The kids hyped each other and practiced their lines to best of their ability. They were able to plan in the snow for a little while and sled around.

Opportunities like Film Prize Junior is important to students from Lake Arthur because a total of four students out of 9 would like to pursue careers in the film industry. If we did not offer classes like Film, students would never know that a filming career could be possible. Students built confidence and now have a sense of integrity for their upcoming film.

Money, that was the biggest obstacle because we had to complete some tough fundraisers in order to pay for the student’s trip to the film competition. Our town is over four hours away from any sort of city, the students did not have many options to work with, but they prevailed with the available resources. Students learned that teamwork can be difficult, accountability is important. Time is an actual factor that fights against you. Asking for permission for certain locations is no easy pitch.

Be dedicated and do not give up. Keep going no matter what because at the end of the day, it will be worth it.
