Leslie, a girl who thinks being liked online is what’s most important, chooses popularity over friendship until it changes her in a way she never saw coming.

FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

Leslie is befriended by a popular girl and believes that relationship is the most important part of her life until she sees how it changes her.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

I had the most fun filming scene 7, where the girls pass each other in the hallway, because down the hall the jazz band room was playing and everytime I would call “action” they would begin to play. Although it was annoying, it was funny.

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

Film Prize Junior is important because it gives student filmmakers the opportunity to put their foot in the filmmaking door and possibly get noticed.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

We had trouble working around everyone’s schedule while trying to film.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

Use your actors as much as you can when you have them, scheduling around other people is so difficult. Also, use everything you are given in terms of equipment and free music / sound effects.
