Max wants to find out where her friends have gone, and what her new friends are.

My goal is to share a new story with people, and to show off my friends’ talents as well as my own. We want our names to be out there so we can find new opportunities and careers going forward.

My favorite part of filming was when we were filming the laughing audio, we wanted it to be as authentic as possible, so we had to have our actors really laugh. This led to a bunch of silly dad jokes, witch cackles and recalling old memories such as Max falling during PE. It was very fun, and I had to excuse myself so I wouldn’t laugh during the recording. I’m very happy with how everyone’s attitudes towards this film have been.

Things like Film Prize are important so passionate and talented people can start working on their interests early on and have like minded people around them. I believe that being able to learn all these things, and for there to be such a good support system, really helps anyone that is interested in filmmaking.

I would say our biggest challenge was scheduling, we only had one class period for filming, and we weren’t able to film every day. But my crew pulled through and was able to find a weekend to finish filming everything before the deadline. I’m very proud of their problem solving skills.

My advice would be to really know your film and the people helping you, teachers and peers that are working with you all
