FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

I would like the audience to acquire a better understanding of the mental struggle and burden that we call anxiety.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

I had the the most fun filming the scene where our character is walking home, because we got to go off campus and film somewhere that wasn’t limited to our school, so it gave us a lot more opportunity.

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

I believe opportunities like these are great because it gives us an outlet to showcase our creativity and ideas, and they’re just fun.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

What I feel was most challenging for us was that we couldn’t find many people who wanted to do the interview portion of the film, but in the end we found who we needed and it worked out. We also got a little bit of a late start but that also ended being not a big issue in the end.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

Make sure to have a stable plan for your film, and just have fun with it because it was honestly a very good experience, because not only did we have fun, but we learned along the way.
