FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

People are not always what you think, and you may have more in common with those around you than you think.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

They were all very fun, but I especially enjoyed filming the “suicide soda” scene because we had the chance to be creative about both our “murder” tools and our soda combinations.

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

It gives us a fun project to work on and the opportunity to learn more about the film industry and acting.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

Technology and scheduling with the biggest challenges. I learned that some things take longer than you expect. I also learned how to use more advanced equipment and how to take on new film-making roles.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

Make sure you are prepared before you start filming and you understand what you are working on. Try to recruit extra help if you can!
