FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

My goal in sharing this film is to showcase true friends enjoying their youth together.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

My favorite scene to film was my opening scene, with my friend Matt looking out over the mountains. I love the way it came out. It was super fun playing with the focus in the video.

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

Opportunities like Film Prize Junior are important for students because it gives them confidence and support in really making a film happen.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

The main obstacle my film crew faced was getting the film equipment across the mountain so everyone could get a chance with it. Whether it be go-pros, someone’s iPhone, or phone stabilizers.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

I would tell future Film Prize Junior students that truly the sky’s the limit, you can make any vision a reality if you put the effort in.
